K18 Mist is a pre-service treatment that strengthens hair before a chemical service. The pH level of 7.5-8.0 shifts the cuticle layer to penetrate into hair’s cortex and hone in on damage sites.

K18 Mask is used both post-service and as a treatment that repairs damage caused during any salon service or at home via thermal and mechanical styling, and with a pH level of 5.0-6.0, helps to close the cuticle and seal in the peptide, with added lightweight conditioning benefits to keep hair smooth and soft.

How to use it:

Pro Mist

1. Before all professional and chemical services, mist hair with water (do not saturate).
2. Section hair, apply 2-6 sprays of K18 Mist per section. Work into hair.
3. Let sit for 4 minutes to activate. Do NOT rinse out.
4. Dry hair and process as usual.
5. Shampoo, do not condition.
6. Towel-dry thoroughly.
7. Continue treatment with K18 Mask.

Pro Mask

1. Shampoo, do not condition.
2. Towel dry until damp.
3. Part hair into equal sections. Begin with 1 pump of K18 Mask and add more as needed depending on length, thickness, and condition. Work evenly into hair from ends to roots, one pump at a time.
4. Let sit for 4 minutes to activate. Do NOT rinse out.
5. Style as usual.
6. If cutting, you may start right away. If toning, use K18 Mask then apply toner over K18 Mask. Process as usual. Rinse/shampoo toner, towel-dry thoroughly. Reapply K18 Mask as per instructions above. Style as usual.

K18 Mask was not formulated to work like a regular conditioner. Although some find it provides adequate softening and smoothing properties, others may prefer enhanced conditioning benefits by adding a leave-in conditioner after the four-minute processing time. On the days that you are not using K18 Mask, use your regular in-shower or leave-in conditioner as usual. If heat styling, use a heat protectant after the four-minute processing time. You may also layer additional styling products on top of the mask if needed.
